How much does a new front door cost, supplied and fitted?
Front-door prices are subject to survey. Your quotation needs to cover the complete door and frame, glazing, hardware, threshold and fitting work. Sidelights, the condition of the existing opening and surrounding finishing can change the total. Our free survey allows us to quote for the entrance you need. Our prices include fitting, removal and the stated warranty. Check VAT treatment, any additional making good and exclusions in your written quotation, as well as the door design.
Should I choose a composite, uPVC or aluminium front door?
Composite doors offer a wide choice of panel designs and different core constructions. uPVC is a practical option for front, side and rear entrances, with flexible glazed and solid-panel layouts. Aluminium suits contemporary entrances where clean lines and a coordinated metal finish are important. Compare appearance, upkeep, the complete door specification and your quotation before choosing.
Can you replace my existing door and frame?
In many cases, yes. We survey the opening, surrounding wall, floor levels and threshold before specifying the replacement. A new door and frame designed to work together can avoid compatibility problems with old hinges, locks and seals. Any work needed around the opening should be included in the agreed scope.
Will a new front door reduce draughts?
A correctly fitted door with effective seals can reduce unwanted draughts around the frame, opening edges and threshold. If you feel air coming through a particular part of the entrance, point it out during the survey. The door, frame and surrounding fitting details all need to be considered.
Should I choose French, bi-fold or sliding patio doors?
French doors provide hinged one-door or two-door access and need room to swing. Bi-folds gather their panels to one or both sides and need stacking space. Sliding patio doors keep nearby floor space clear and favour broad views, while the usable opening depends on the panel layout. Start with everyday access, furniture and the garden space.
How long does it take to replace a front door?
A standard composite door has a two-week order lead time and can usually be fitted within two to three hours, depending on the state of the existing door. Standard aluminium doors usually have an order lead time of around four weeks, and standard timber doors around six to eight weeks. Order lead time is separate from the installation appointment. Fitting time for other door types and more extensive work around the opening is confirmed for the project.

Our doors come with a 10-year system warranty, with two-year cover for glass and furniture or hardware.
