Project Overview

Coordinated Whole-Home Retrofit Delivery

Pristine Glazing & Renewables Ltd was appointed by Quinn London Limited to support the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Barnet Retrofit Wave 2 programme across residential properties in Barnet.

The programme focused on improving the energy efficiency, thermal performance and ventilation of existing homes through a coordinated package of energy-efficiency measures.

A Whole-Home Approach to Retrofit

Effective retrofit requires multiple measures to work together rather than treating individual elements of a property in isolation. Pristine delivered a combination of measures designed to improve the thermal performance of homes while supporting the wider retrofit strategy.

External wall insulation
Window and door installations
Loft insulation
Loft rewiring
dMEV fan installations
Door undercuts supporting ventilation

By delivering these measures as part of a coordinated programme, the works contributed to creating more energy-efficient and comfortable homes for residents.

Working Within Occupied Social Housing

Working within occupied properties presented its own delivery considerations. Clear communication and coordination were essential to keeping the programme moving effectively.

Pristine worked closely with Quinn London Limited and the wider project team to maintain clear lines of communication and ensure that issues were identified and reported promptly. Working within residents’ homes also required our teams to remain professional, considerate and adaptable throughout the installation process.

Programme delivery was built around clear communication, resident consideration and the coordination of multiple measures across occupied homes.

Standards & Assurance

Delivering to PAS 2030 & PAS 2035 Requirements

A significant aspect of the project was ensuring that the works were delivered in accordance with the requirements of the PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 retrofit framework.

Maintaining compliance was not simply a project requirement. It formed part of Pristine’s wider approach to quality assurance and retrofit delivery. Our knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory requirements was maintained so that processes remained current throughout the programme.

The works were also subject to auditing and quality checks to help demonstrate that installations were being delivered in accordance with the required PAS standards. This focus on compliance, documentation and quality assurance was especially important where consistency needed to be maintained across numerous properties.

Quality ChecksInstallation checks supported consistent delivery across the programme.
Auditable DeliveryDocumentation and audits supported evidence of PAS-aligned work.
Current StandardsProcesses reflected relevant retrofit and regulatory requirements.
Programme ConsistencyA structured approach was maintained across multiple occupied homes.

The Result

Supporting Better, More Energy-Efficient Homes

The completed programme contributed to improved energy efficiency across participating homes in Barnet, helping to enhance their thermal performance and support the wider objectives of social-housing decarbonisation.

Through insulation, improved windows and doors, and measures supporting each property’s ventilation strategy, the programme demonstrates Pristine’s experience in delivering retrofit measures within occupied housing while working to PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 requirements.

For Pristine, the project also demonstrates the ability to deliver large-scale, multi-measure retrofit programmes while maintaining clear communication, quality control and compliance throughout the installation process.

Multi-MeasureSeveral complementary energy-efficiency measures delivered through one coordinated programme.
Occupied HomesProfessional, considerate delivery within residents’ properties.
PAS FocusedQuality, documentation and auditing aligned with the required retrofit framework.
