Project Overview
Specialist Window and Door Works for Quinn London
Pristine Glazing & Renewables Ltd is delivering social housing door and window renewals in Barnet, London, working for main contractor Quinn London on a Barnet Homes programme.
Our work forms part of the Barnet Roofing & Window Year 3 programme and is divided into two subprojects. The first covers composite front doors and uPVC rear doors at more than 600 properties. The second covers window and door renewals at approximately 25–30 properties.
This combination gives prospective main contractors a clear view of Pristine’s current involvement in housing improvement works: a substantial door replacement programme alongside a separate package covering both windows and doors.
Two Defined Renewal Packages
Package 1: Front and Rear Doors at More Than 600 Properties
The larger subproject covers front and rear door renewals across more than 600 Barnet Homes properties. The specified products are composite front doors and uPVC rear doors.
Front and rear door replacements sit within one defined package, bringing both access points into the same workstream. The scale of this subproject makes consistency across individual properties an important delivery consideration.
Package 2: Windows and Doors at Approximately 25–30 Properties
The second subproject combines window and door renewals at approximately 25–30 properties. It brings several external openings within each relevant property into a single renewal package.
This package sits alongside the larger door programme, showing the different scopes Pristine is undertaking within the same main contractor’s housing improvement scheme.
Main Contractor Support
Specialist Delivery Within a Wider Housing Programme
Quinn London is the main contractor for Barnet Homes, with Pristine’s role focused on the two window and door renewal packages within the wider Year 3 programme.
For a housing scheme of this scale, property access, sequencing, communication with residents and coordination with the main contractor are important planning considerations. The two packages also have different requirements: repeated front and rear door renewals across a large number of homes, and combined window and door works across a smaller group of properties.
The project remains ongoing. This case study describes Pristine’s current scope within the programme.
